Jackpot City Casino bonus
Just like in any other online casino in Canada, Jackpot City starts things off with a bang. Or not that much of a bang if you ask us. Its welcome bonus has been around forever, and the casino seems hesitant to change it or the terms. It’s a larger bonus than the average, yet its spread across several initial deposits and has soaring wagering requirements. It’s one of the worst wagering numbers we’ve seen, making the bonus look very bad in our eyes.
Bonus | Offer |
---|---|
First deposit | 100% match bonus up to C$400 |
Second deposit | 100% match bonus up to C$400 |
Third deposit | 100% match bonus up to C$400 |
Fourth deposit | 100% match bonus up to C$400 |
All four bonuses are the same, giving you up to C$1,600 extra to play with. All bonuses require a low minimum deposit, but the wagering requirements are so high that the bonus is not worth getting. Compared to the average bonus, this one’s higher, but so are the terms. We also don’t like the fact that Jackpot City casino is not that transparent when it comes to the T&Cs. It lists them on the promo’s front page, but if you read the detailed terms, it gets much worse.
Bonus terms
By registering at Jackpot City, you can earn a total of C$1,600 in bonuses across your first four deposits. However, the wagering is set at a whopping 70x, so good luck with keeping what you win. Even if you claim one of the bonuses—for example, the first one—it’ll still be a challenge. You’ll need to spend thousands on top of the bonus and initial deposits which even high rollers can’t do, especially since the maximum bet size is restricted.
On the positive side, you can claim the welcome bonus with any payment method, e-wallets included. But, that’s only one pro and so many cons so far.
Terms | Details |
---|---|
Wagering requirement (WR) | 70x deposit and bonus |
Maximum bet limit | C$8 |
Maximum cashout limit | 6 times the deposit amount |
Time to complete WR | Not known |
There are no free spins as part of the welcome bonus which we also see as a disadvantage. On average, the maximum bet limit for welcome bonuses in Canada is C$10 which is acceptable. But, Jackpot City has lowered it to C$8, which makes it even harder to complete WR on time.
Wagering the bonus can be done on 100% of the slots excluding NetEnt titles and progressive jackpots. Other games contribute much less – for example, table pokers or blackjack titles only count 8% toward the wagering requirements.
Overall, these bonus terms are unfair, and it’s even worse as the casino is not outright transparent with the terms before you claim it.
Promotions for existing customers
Get this – Jackpot City doesn’t have any offers for existing customers. Or new customers for that matter. Its welcome bonus is widely known but there are no other promotions to get your hands on. We consider this a major disadvantage, as many Canadian players will flock to other casinos that give them better deals. Or just any deals to be honest.
Casinos should be rewarding for new and existing players, and this one simply isn’t. The promotions area is a big letdown, making Jackpot City a bad choice for bonus hunters. Nevertheless, it at least has a VIP program if that’s any substitute worth looking into.
VIP program
The loyalty rewards program in JackpotCity is for the most loyal customers. It offers various levels you can jump across by collecting loyalty points. Each bet brings you some, and when you have accumulated a decent portion, they can be exchanged for casino bonus credits.
JackpotCity’s loyalty program is free to join, and all you need to do to progress is wager and earn complimentary points. However, just like most VIP programs, reaching them is hard for casual players, with the VIP rewards more suitable for high rollers.
Unfortunately, the casino is not upfront with information on how to reach the levels. We just know that all players start on the first tier—Bronze—and are given 2,500 CP to kick-start their journey. All other information is only available to regular players. We’re seeing kind of a pattern here – the bonus terms are not fully transparent, and Jackpot City repeats the same mistake with the loyalty program.
As for the rewards and perks, they’re the standard bunch such as higher withdrawals, priority withdrawals, priority customer support, etc. You can exchange loyalty points for bonus credits, but the rate is not mentioned.
Casino games
The casino mentions that it’s powered by Games Global and Evolution Gaming, but the truth is that there are other providers it has partnered with. Among them are Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, and Ezugi. Don’t expect many other software developers, but the casino still has over 1,200 games ranging from slots and jackpots to live dealer titles.
The casino lobby displays featured games and jackpots with big tiles in the lobby. It has numerous filters which are a new addition. Jackpot City unveiled the new casino lobby just a few years ago. We can honestly say it was a much-needed facelift, as navigation was a bit problematic before. The new casino lobby has all the filters a modern gaming site needs, allowing you to browse and play the games effortlessly.
Game type | Number of games |

Progressive jackpots | 50+ |
Megaways slots | 100+ |
Video poker | 10+ |
Table & card games | 100+ |
All types | 1,200+ |
Thanks to the new interface, Jackpot City’s lobby looks much better than before. However, we don’t like the fact that you can’t access it unless you’re a registered member. For the full casino experience, you’ll need to log in, while the website for unregistered users simply displays the most popular games.

Live dealer games
Powered by Ezugi and Evolution Gaming, the live casino at Jackpot City is nothing short of excellent. There are over 150 games in the lobby ranging from classic to exotic live blackjack, live roulette, live baccarat, and game show titles.
Both Evolution and Ezugi are among the most popular providers in the live casino industry, so you’ll get nothing but the premier games.
Game type | Number of tables |
---|---|
Live blackjack | 100+ |
Live roulette | 50+ |
Live poker | 5+ |
Live baccarat | 30+ |
They are separated into different categories, so you can only pick the blackjack titles, roulette, baccarat, or game shows. Explore this lobby in depth as there are some truly rewarding gems. Nevertheless, you should always keep in mind that these games are only available for real money bets.
Unfortunately, Jackpot City doesn’t have a live casino bonus. It’s a big light on the bonus offers, which is another bad thing.
Banking
The available payment methods at Jackpot City casino depend on your region. If you’re from Canada, you can use a range of familiar payment options to fund your account and keep what you win. They include credit cards, e-wallets, and prepaid vouchers. However, we were disappointed to see there are no cryptocurrencies which have become a hot topic in the iGaming community as of late.
Deposits
Deposits at Jackpot City are instant and fee-free. Furthermore, the casino accepts CAD, so you don’t need to worry about currency conversions. There may not be that many options on the list, but all of them are trusted and instant.
Deposit method | Limits |
---|---|

We think that the popular casino site can appeal to a whole new group of consumers if it adds cryptocurrencies. The options on offer are a great pick too, especially since there are no maximum deposit limits, and the minimums go as low as C$5.
Payouts
Payouts at Jackpot City are automatically issued on the deposit method you’ve used previously. If that’s not available, the casino will ask you to confirm an alternative. There are no charges on any of the withdrawal options, although the casino doesn’t hold itself accountable for any banking charges that might arise.
Every withdrawal goes through a pending withdrawal period of 24 hours, after which you should be able to withdraw your winnings in 1-3 days.
Withdrawal method | Limits | Payout time |

C$50 – / | 1 – 3 days | |

While the withdrawal times are a bit slow by today’s standards, the daily limit is excellent. Players can withdraw up to C$10,000 per 24 hours, which is an amount suitable to high rollers as well. However, the casino hasn’t shared its weekly and monthly limits, which we guess increase as you climb up the higher VIP levels.
- Daily limit: C$10,000
Is Jackpot City Casino reliable?
Jackpot City is as reliable as it gets. Aside from the trusted MGA license, the casino’s been around since 1998. Those years of experience surely account for something, and it helps it’s held in high regard among players. Plus, the games are regularly tested by eCOGRA which gives the casino credibility.
License | Malta Gaming Authority |
Parent company | Bayton Ltd. |
Established | 1998 |
SSL encryption | 256-bit encryption |
RNG certificates | Yes |
Trustpilot rating | 1.9 |
Our security rating | 3.5 |
On the other hand, the Trust Pilot rating isn’t something to brag about. It might be that players are a bit fed up with the casino’s bonus terms and the stubbornness to change the outdated welcome bonus.
Customer support
You can get in touch with Jackpot City’s customer support agents via email or live chat. The agents speak English only which won’t be a problem for most players. The live chat support has much faster responses, although to be fair, we did wait for almost 10 minutes to get in touch with an agent. They were great when it comes to the responses, but those waiting times are a bit slow.

Final verdict
Online casinos rarely go for 20 years in the industry, but Jackpot City’s got that going for it. It’s a reputable casino with a decent license and decades of experience which make it a popular option among players. It’s a bit disappointing to see the limited choice of games (although high-quality) and the abysmal bonus terms, but if you’re looking for a legit Canadian online casino, Jackpot City is almost a jackpot.
